Tremendous news ! In fairness "The Rape of Christ" sequence is one of the weaker aspects of the film and I won't miss it very much. I remember seeing the Kermode restoration on C4 and the sequence is way too much - not in terms of content, I like naked nuns as much as the next person, but Russell seriously overdoes the zoom lens....even Franco would be embarrassed. It doesn't make the film any less of a masterpiece but the film is stronger without it...
