nice enough place.
the film itself, hmmmm. glad i never saw the trailer.
is it meant to be a comedy??
aaanyway, i laughed.
came back and saw a bit of NW Refhn's Bronson on film4.
after id sworn of "films glorifying violent bastards", i may give this a go after all, looked more like Silent Scream (the Iain Glenn one) than SCUM (not that i hate clark's masterpiece....) |
Bronson is a bit like if Ken Russell was asked to do
Scum, which is right up my street.
Hardy's performance is spectacular and it went some way to endear him to my heart as an actor willing to put his neck on the line.
Refn is 'up there' for me as one of the most interesting directors working today and the fact that he finished shooting
Bronson and immediately started filming
Valhalla Rising (my fave of his films) is a testament to his creative urge and vision.
