I'm writing a piece for Tom at the moment, but some small thoughts:
I really liked the episode. Like all great TZ episodes, this was a social commentary on how social media not only runs our personal opinions but also the media itself.
Even more interestingly the episode did a superb job of mirroring audience’s reactions as the episode went on. When the task is announced, we don't know whether to laugh or be shocked. But as time goes on, we get intrigued as to how this story will play out - Will he do it? What will happen? Will we watch it? Only for when the act is undertaken, we are almost disgusted, appalled and even disturbed.
Subtle brilliance from Brooker. I look forward to the rest of the series.
