...my much loved and missed Grandma used to take me every Saturday afternoon in the 70s and 80s to matinee showings of "Star Wars", "Close Encounters...", "Hangar 18", and loads more. The fact that when I stayed with her on weekends I could also stay up and watch the BBC horror double bills meant my lifelong devotion to the genres was assured.
