Maybe, but it would have increased the costs of the movie, as CGI (like the machine gun leg) are easier to apply if your master's a digital one, I guess.
I love both
Planet Terror and
Death Proof. When
Grindhouse was released, my favourite was
PT. Now, after many, many rewatches, I'd say that both parts are on a par with each other. The movie's an excellent tribute to 70's sleaziest slices of cinema.
