Well, if they can find out who put out that LD, then they can find out where they sourced the material from, and who knows where it might lead....might even find some other bits and bobs along the way.
I'm just surprised that it's taken 40-odd years for anyone to finally think about restoring these Brit classics to their former uncut status. The fact they can find
anything at all is a minor miracle in itself after all this time.
It's funny, because in their day the Hammer films were pretty much reviled by critics and generally considered trashy horror films of no consequence. They showed at cinemas, made money, and disappeared. No-one thought anymore of them...until they started showing up on late night TV. And home video and subsequently DVD gave the studio something of a renaissance and now the entire Hammer library seems to have been re-evaluated and are now considered classics. Funny how things change.
