Argento films evil? Graphicaly violent yes, but when you strip down to it there's little difference between the stabbing in Susperia and the stabbing in the 2010 adaptaion of Murder on the Orient Express. It's just how much is shown. I can't think of a single scene from an Argento film that is 'evil' in anyway. But the 'New Born Porn' in A Serbian Film was just point blanck mean spirited and intended for nothing more than to lead the movie and the director into scandal. I suppose if argento had someone scewing a child that would be ok because his films are 'artsy'
My problem is evil is such a broad term that is open to interpretation. BIRTH OF A NATION is a totally evil film and I was shown that in film school.
I would agree serbian film wasn't very good, but labelling it as evil is very simplistic.
