I've mentioned my storage system a few times, but I have my BDs in large CD wallets and my DVDs in drawers with 'railing' bars and sleeves hanging from them.
The DVD covers and inserts are in lever arch files, with each in a plastic pocket and the 'normal' Blu-ray cases go in the loft, along with my CD cases, with the CDs also in large CD wallets (the ones with four discs on each side of each 'sleeve'').
As for books, they are in the spare room upstairs (along with most TV DVD sets) part from those I haven't read which are in my bedroom, so I have things everywhere, but all filed in a way so I know where everything is and can be located quite easily.
