I don't think of Waters as sleazy myself. Sleazy implies nasty and cruel but there's hardly any of that in his films - there's a certain innocence about them in a funny way, a mischievous sense of humour at breaking taboos. Trashy, yes, but not sleazy no matter how repulsive they may be.
