I read about it somewhere or maybe heard it in one of the bonus featurettes on some Italian film. But it is also obvious from a comparison of almost any English giallo track to the Italian one. The moronic and jarring ending of the English Chi l'ha vista morire comes to mind at once, for instance (although, come to think of that, it was probably done for censorship reasons).

I'd love to read the interview but apparently one has to wait for the registration to be approved or something.
