Armageddon (1998) The end of the world is nigh!
(Again! Third time this week!). A big budget disaster movie which sees an oil drilling team sent to an inbound meteor in order to drill deep enough to plant and then explode a nuclear device that will break the errant rock into enough pieces to pass us by.
Not only has the movie got massive set pieces and spectacular scenes but a great musical score by Trevor Rabin full of forboding and a sense of helplessness, (Yeah it's a favourite!
). The only real nitpick I have is the fact that just after the device goes off the explosion can be seen in the skies from several points around the Earth, India and the US!
I was under the impression that the Earth was round!
