I got Escape from L.A on Blu Ray recently, as much as it was slated ( it was never going to be in the same cult ball park as Escape from New York, bit similar to Prometheus expectations and Alien ) I really enjoy this film. I watched it again last night actually with my 7 year old lad, who loves EFNY and he loved it. I am a massive John Carpenter fan and dont expect another EFNY or Halloween so take his films as they come. Its more of a homage to the first than a follow up, loads of quips, lines and similar scenarios to EFNY. Though the surfing scene does push it!
Wish he would do another, perhaps a different country......Escape from U.K?
