Keith Gordon IMO deserved a far better spot in the limelight than he got.He was also very good in De Palma's Dressed To Kill and had a bit part in Jaws 2.He packed in the acting for directing,If I'm not mistaken.

The film also features a young Alexandra Paul, some years before she'd fuel teenagers fantasies in a red swimsuit in Baywatch.

The film also features Harry Dean Stanton as a detective, and from DERANGED,Ed Gein himself,Roberts Blossoms as the mysterious hermit who sells the car to Arnie.

One of the better translations from the paper of King to the screen.

Anyone else read the book?
I bottled-out of reading the book, it's too thick for my liking!

Keith Gordon is critically as a filmmaker - his directorial efforts include A MIDNIGHT CLEAR, MOTHER NIGHT and WAKING THE DEAD. I'm embarrassed to say I've not seen any of them but have owned the latter film for a while now.
