my favourite dotd artwork is these italian/german posters which are in taschen's horror poster book. if the original poster is just going on the reverse, maybe it would be ok to use something with the 'zombi' title instead of 'dotd'? tho technically the argento cut probably counts as a different film...
as for the new design, i don't think the masters of giallo covers would be nearly as effective without the 80s retro white border and arrow logo, so maybe thats an issue.
