I recently got the blue underground 30th anniversary edition of the original and it's got a load of extras, its region free on dvd and is uncut ( the last time it was released in the U.K it was slightly cut). 
So that's the way to go if you haven't seen it before Troggi, unless you own a region free blu ray player that is, (i should be so lucky  ).
The originals got some great Tom Savini effects, a chilling central performance by Joe Spinell and Caroline Munro, so good stuff all round.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Elijah Wood's performance, i thought he was quite creepy in 'Sin City'.  |
The Maniac remake is by the far the best remake of the last decade (perhaps longer), and is the only remake that I'd say was on par with the original film.
As for the 1980 version, the Blue Underground BD is region free. The only Blue Underground BD which is locked (to my knowledge) is Django.
