But that's the exact reasoning for such shark-jumping tactics like this, which FG has mocked in the past. Replacing a key character to inject supposed freshness into the show is often seen as the death knell in a tv series.
I dislike FG but caught the Brian episode just to see what happened. It was rubbish. Really poorly conceived and, aside from some typically racist Native American stuff, didn't even seem to bother with any jokes.
