The first one is excellent (in my opinion!) and whilst the second one is fun and plays with some interesting ideas, the budget constraints really show and let it down. The same can be said for the third, although this is worse in as much as a lot of the effects work (which is to be fair is one of the franchise's main draws) is rather sloppy too.
I consider them all enjoyable in their own way, but it's hard to say from a recommendation point of view really... plus, with the amount of low budget cheapie horror you watch my dear Dem, you may certainly find a lot to enjoy in there that many others won't!
EDIT: Have you ever seen Brain Damage or Frankenhooker? Chances are you'll probably like Basket Case if you like these.
