I get you in some respects too with the J-Horror overload, as I experienced a similar revelation around the same time you did (mainly thanks to Tartan Video and their Asia Extreme sub-label). However, the Asian films I listed are all classics ('60s and '70s films) and are masterclasses of cinema in general rather than template copy cats of 2000 era ghost story films. |
I don't particularly like evil children movies. Generally because film makers tend to wimp out and never kill the child, in a way making the ending a tad predictable.
I'll see how much Amazon are charging for
Jigoku,
Onibaba and
Hausu. If they aren't too expensive i'll give them a go.
