Like I said, it doesn't bother me as I'll always opt for the HD release, but I do think it's a little foolish to not consider DVD only buyers. I believe they have said in the past that DVD sales were poor, so it's not a smart move financially to release dual format or separate editions. |
I know it's not fair to Demdike but I guess 88 Films did the maths and realised that the cost of producing a DVD wasn't justified when most of their target audience have upgraded to BD.
I can't really blame them as they are an independent company aimed at a niche audience so it's not like they have money to burn.
