My current 'sources' feeding my Cambridge amp, the bog standard Sony CD player is there cause it plays every disc I throw at it, cdr/cdrw/cd and even windows burned cda, only my vintage 20+ year old Marantz plays windows cda, most modern players show 'disc not closed' (it is) or 'no disc' so the Sony earns it's place(hooked to the mini-disc via optical acting as a DAC) sadly I jumped to digital around '97 (god, I wish I hadn't sold all my LPs, but it seemed a good idea at the time
