(Morbid?) curiosity is what led me to watch the first Human Centipede. However, the hype that surrounded it left me nonplussed. It is predictable and dull, but it gets a few extra points for trying something a bit new.
I actually prefer ('prefer' is probably the wrong word...) the sequel, as even though it is again packed with characters you care little to nothing about, and it tries constantly and unremittingly to 'out-extreme' the first one in the shocking stakes, the story-arc is actually quite different, a bit 'meta' and less formulaic than the first one. It's still not a good film by any means though.
These films do have a strange draw for me though and I'll probably watch the third one eventually.
