I know games are locked so as companies can see how well a title thats hugely popular in one region will sell in other regions were its got just cult or minor appeal , but I cant see that being the case with films. |
Yep, down to rights. Say a company owns the licence to a film - they can sell that to Arrow for example, ask them to region lock it and then sell it again to an American company, thus making themselves more money
