I find that a lot of these muscial genre terms seem to be no more than made up nonsense. Just go to last.fm pick any artist and look at all the genre tags associated with them to see what I mean...
It reminds me of one of the bands that I used to mess about with in college; we decided to term our 'sound' as 'Boxcore' (i.e. music as it would sound if played in a box!
