I went through a zombie phase at around the age of 10, I actually had a copy of Dawn of the Dead taken from the pre-cert Intervisison tape and used to regulalry rent out Zombie Flesh Eaters all the time from our local video library right up until it was taken off the shelves.
When I could no longer access this type of horror, I switched to action films and rented Aliens, Cobra and Commando enough times to have more than likely paid for the tapes myself.
A couple of years later I started to hold film nights at home every weekend with some friends from school and we watched Return of the Living Dead and Demons god knows how many times. As far as I know none of us have turned into serial killers yet despite growing up on this stuff.
