When it's seen uncut even today it's still quite strong stuff in places. There's a lot of early characterization and far too many famous faces to mention. Some of them die quite horribly. Perhaps not graphically but emotionally nasty. |
I loved it as a child too, any disaster film was to be watched whilst munching on gigantic Yorkshire puddings. I wonder if that's why I think things will go badly wrong all the time? We're talking engineering problems, natural disasters, fires, machines killing people, etc. Obviously where I work contributes to the paranoia.
