Only watched a handful of films in the cinema since 2000 but some were actually good.
Probably more than in the 90's when I dreaded going to the cinema (there still were some good films around but compared to the 80's it was slim pickings).
I also watched "newer films" on dvd from time to time and found some to my liking in there.
