Yes you're right.
BCI/Eclipse paid a lot of money for top quality transfers and released the Spanish Horror Collection. Unfortunately they didn't sell well and pretty much destroyed the company, together with the economic downturn in the late 00's.
I'm sure i've read that Arrow won't be going after the Naschy films due to the high cost of the rights to release them. Also their own foray into Paul Naschy -
Man with the Severed Head - was not a great seller.
In all honesty the dvd's BCi released were practically HD anyway, they were that good. Problem is now of course is that they are deleted and usually going for silly money secondhand.
