All superheroes must die
Was very wary over this, it was made for the grand sum of $20,000 and shot over two weeks, indications of something cheap and nasty. It was £1.25 so I decided to give it a punt. It's actually pretty decent, certainly no classic its still a pretty watch-able tale of a bunch of heroes stripped of their powers and forced to enter a death match by their arch-nemesis (played by James Remar). It's fairly brutal and earns its 15 rating and people generally not fond of hero films might get a kick out of it at the right price.

Keep an eye out for this. It turned up on-line and I cannot find any evidence of a physical release. It was made in 2015 so early days yet perhaps. Essentially its an anthology film which folllows various people in some weird region of the desert chock full of killers, demons and monsters. Each story leads into the next with a reasonably good plot structure, there are some interesting stories and some nice gore FX on display. I suspect it might appear on supermarket shelves anonymously at some point, perhaps even under a different title but its worth giving it a chance.

Witch who came from the sea the fact that I enjoyed this weird little chiller means the American horror project box was well worth buying. Its a strange, loosely plotted tale of the sort of fun fairs you went to as a kid with lethally dangerous rides and odd staff (anyone who ever went to Frontierland at Morecambe knows what I mean) with the addition of a group of ghouls that come out at night to kill people off. I thought this was great fun, with a nice line of splatter on display and great atmosphere. The transfer looks good though I expect someone will complain over the evident film damage in places.
