Yeah, Mya certainly had a less than squeaky-clean rep. They released some great titles, but their prints were sometimes a little ropey and the question as to whether some of the titles they released were 100% legal was also called into dispute at times. They were often pricey (at the time) too, for DVDs.
I have a few of their releases and
Absurd was decent-ish from what I recall (I'm certainly no expert though).
