You know the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover'? The same applies to films!
I rented and saw The Dressmaker some time ago and loved it. I believe someone, possibly the director, made the analogy of the film being like Unforgiven, only with a sewing machine instead of a shotgun, which is a very apt description.
