Looking thru my collection, and trying to find something that is obscure, but not so obscure that it would be impossible to find, brings up the following suggestions:

'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' - A good children's film to begin with, but one that had enough scary scenes to keep the adult Gag interested
'The Italian Job' - It's your birthday, so you will want a feel good movie!
'Blind Woman's Curse' - It's subtitled, so it will help you with your learning to read!
'Vampire Circus' - You are still young, so you haven't realised what a cruel place a circus is. You will still enjoys seeing the animals and clowns
'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things' - I'm sure you are a morbid child by this age, so you should take heed of the warning given in this film!
'Sisters' - I'm not sure if you have any sisters, but if you do, this will remind you that girls are soppy things that don't belong in the "He-Man Womun Haters Club"
'The Beast Must Die' - You are almost certainly at an age now where you KNOW there is a monster under the bed and in the closet
'Black Christmas' - For the remembered disappointment when December 25th came, and you wanted a 'Super Shooter Destructo Machine Gun' and you ended up with some nice clothes for school!
'Carrie' - You think your time at school is bad at this age? Wait until you get older, and you will see just how bad school really is!
'The Hills Have Eyes' - Because of the 'fun' times the 9 year old you had on the family holidays, when you were not allowed to go to the penny arcades, because you had to go the boring museums and castles and places of interest
'Damien: Omen 2' - A role model for the 10 year old Gag to aspire to. After all, he is only 2 years older than you!
