Midnight Man(1974) Recently paroled ex-police detective (Burt Lancaster) gets a job as campus night watchman and tries to solve a coed's murder. Its effective and engaging thanks in large part to Lancaster. Solid and lively supporting cast. The problems I have with this is the direction(co-director Lancaster) is somewhat uneven and pacing lacks the intensity suspense one would see in many films Lancaster is in. I'd give this 6.5/10.

On a side note Burt's son Bill appeared in this as well. It was a nice surprise.
