I watched the
Matt Smith seasons without prior knowledge and found it OK, there were a few characters from previous arcs that I had no idea who they were but it wasn't confusing. However, I started watching from episode 1 recently as they're on Netflix, and I really enjoy
Eccleston/Piper as a duo, it's a shame it was only one season, I'm still bracing myself for
Tennant as I really dislike him
