Cellar Dweller (1988)
The story involving a deceased artists (Jeffrey Combs) work which comes alive as he's drawing it in the form of a demon which then goes on a rampage. Thirty years later a new artist (Deborah Farentino) takes up where Combs left off and the cellar dweller strikes terror once more.
Daft as a brush Full Moon like movie which somehow snagged the great Yvonne De Carlo for a leading role. Cellar Dweller is a typically fun late 80's horror film. Chock full of rubber monsters and gloopy effects which would have been ruined as cheap and nasty CGI recreations nowadays. The whole thing is imaginative with gratuitous gore, nudity and scenery chewing.
Brilliantly the film makers adopt the old Universal approach and inform us that 'A Good Cast is Worth Repeating' as the end credits role.
