It looks like you still adore the Star Wars films, Dave boy, but for me the magic is truly gone now.

As a kid i was heavily into the films and collected all the figures and several vehicles from the films - the cardboard Death Star with trash compactor was just brilliant and was played with for years, in fact well into my teens (Things were different to today for kids).

However the prequel films were fine and i still got a buzz out of the first and third films especially Anakin becoming Vader, but the new films have been rather meh. In fact no different to any other franchise doing the rounds. The Force Awakens was disappointing and while Rogue One was much better i have barely any interest in The Last Jedi.

I'm not sure why the magic of the force is no longer with me as i still love Doctor Who in all it's forms and look forward to every new episode.
