Seriously twas mainly THBTC & The Burning.
The Italian print of House was a semi revelation (unlike the leaden German dub), what with slightly more pace to the whole shebang. And uncut. Thank you Arrow. Next up City methinks unless there is a better option??
The Burning is what it is .... but should have been called Cropsey. Don't Go In The House suits the title FAR more imho. I digress. A film that teeters on the edge of greatness .... then spots some shiny shiny and wanders away to graze. The opening kill a cheeky blend of giallo and Peeping Tom ... but apart from the (seemingly graphic) raft holocaust, this warhorse needs some hay and a nap. Highly recommended. It is what it is .... and you're all doomed zzzzzzzzz
Now I am watching The Void. I like it. Unlike Beyond The Gates it doth not suck arse. IMHO. |
