I think the majority of Amicus portmanteau films are very hit and miss. Each one has a couple of decent tales but the rest are filler.

They proved they could produce excellent horror films such as The Skull, And Now the Screaming Starts! (1973), Madhouse (1974) and City of the Dead but are sadly best remembered for the portmanteau's.

Give me Tigon any day over Amicus.

The Sorcerers (1967)
Curse of the Crimson Altar (1968)
The Blood Beast Terror (1968)
Witchfinder General (1968)
The Beast in the Cellar (1970)
Blood on Satan's Claw (1971)
Doomwatch (1972)
The Creeping Flesh (1973)
