However, I'm still able to read simple French texts. I can follow the story of a French/Italian/Japanese/... film with French subtitles... as long as it's not the adaptation of a Shakespearean play or À la recherche du temps perdu.  |
I've picked up odd words in Italian from visits there but not enough to be able to watch a subtitled film. I do understand parts of films in Italian dub, mainly general conversation, not enough to figure out who killed who and why in a Giallo.
