Isn't it something to do with a 'corrupting minors' law or summat? My sister lives in Frankfurt and I was there the other weekend - caught the last 20 minutes of Carrie on TV when we got in one evening and was amazed at the quality of the print they were showing but also that they seemed to have made some major edits to the finale.
This is also the country that allows MTV to show various gangsta rap at 9am in the morning complete with T+A and muddyfunkster-ing - they seem to have very different views on sex and profanity than they do to violence.
