Although part of me watches Ant-Man with the thought "would this be better if Edgar Wright had stayed on as director?", I really like it and think this one could also be a very well made movie which is also a whole lot of fun.
Part of the enjoyment is hopefully going to come from the (potential) chemistry between the two titular characters – if they are similar to Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, that'll be brilliant – and the rest is the size manipulation, with the huge Hello Kitty Pez dispenser offering the sort of laughs that Thomas the Tank Engine did in the Ant-Man movie. It's that kind of visual humour (the travel size office block is another example) which will transcend language barriers and potentially make this another phenomenally profitable film for Marvel and Disney.
