A rewatch of
The Force Awakens in the run up to Saturday's premier of
The Last Jedi has led me re-evaluate JJ Abrams film.
On first viewing i felt it a crushing disappointment but this time with expectations lowered somewhat i appreciated it a lot more. Sure they should NEVER have killed off Han Solo as he's still the best thing about the whole saga and easily the best thing about this film but the whole thing just gelled more this time round.
Hopefully Cameron Poe or Poe Dameron or David Cameron whatever he's called, will have more to do in future as he seems a natural successor to Harrison Ford. Still amuses that Sith Lord Kylo Ren is beat by a girl who picks up a Lightsabre for the very first time. Would never have happened to Darth Maul.
