Happy Death Day
Lots of fun with this Groundhog Day inspired slasher, a student sleeps with a lot of people & spends most of the movie wondering why anyone would want to kill her.....and reliving the day of the murder until she finds said killer.
It matches Groundhog day note for note (she's confused, then she hates it, then she has fun), but it's not quite as memorable.
Blumhouse pictures is a genre staple all it's own, almost original, very good but not groundbreaking horror like this & Get Out, it's good to see someone trying hard with mainstream horror, if only to feed it to tweens.
