The Day The Earth Stood Still - Pointless revamp of the old sci-fi classic that loses the plot completely almost from the very beginning. A real WTF movie serving no purpose at all. The day the Earth got chewed up by bugs would have been a better re-title.
The Burrowers - This Horror Western hybrid is strong on characters and atmosphere even if the gore content is pretty low. Well worth seeing but far from "the best creature feature since The Thing" that the blurb on the DVD box claims this to be.
