Ruthless Don Lope Aguirre leads an expedition to find hidden gold and slowly depends more into madness.
This film should be renamed as The Madness of Kinski, this is a mesmerising movie From Werner Herzog, with the elements of the amazonian jungle.
Kinski's portrayal as Aguirre is Haunting, as is he acting or portraying absolute madness along with his unpredictable temper which was legendary during the production. This film is not for everyone as it does seem a bit dim and slow but was very enjoyable and worth a watch. 8 out of 10.
