In my opinion
Contraband is about rival smugglers. Sure the police are in it but they aren't central to the story like they are in what i would define Poliziotteschi films.
Same with
What Have they done to your Daughters? It's police procedural in tracking down a killer which surely means giallo rather than Poliziotteschi which i'd say are more action orientated as the cops face crime lords and general gangland mayhem.
