You're probably right. The last one i bought was
The Blackening which seemed an almost proggy direction and a world away from the first album which i fell in love with straight away. They supported
Slayer for that first album and almost blew them away at the Manchester Apollo gig. Almost.
I realise bands have to evolve but at times it seems that
Machine Head have just followed trends in metal rather than being at the forefront of changes themselves.
