Hands of The Ripper.

As a child, Anna witnesses her mother being brutally murdered by her father who it turns out is jack the ripper. and ends up being taken in by a spiritulist conwoman who makes her help her with robbing her gullible customers and not to mention hiring her out for prostition, with one of her customers being a dodgy MP, typical. , when she becomes a young woman. but when Anna(the very pretty angharad Rees) is kissed and sees flickering lights she gets possessed by the spirit of her father and kills, and ends up murdering the spirit woman with a poker. however when Dr Pritchard(Eric porter) discovers what happened he decides to adopt her so he can study her condition, but with disasterous results.

excellent later day film from hammer studios, and proof that they still made great films in the 1970's. with nice Edwardian style settings and atmosphers and good direction from Peter sasdy who did the great Taste the Blood of Dracula.
Some good kills as well including death by broken mirror and a ropey old whore stabbed in the eye with hatpins.

Yes, this was most enjoyable and very well acted. and with a interesting if sad finale at the whispering gallery. 81 out of 100.
