It's great to see Saxon back headlining Apollo size venues. An arena show in Scotland is fantastic, the article says it's the biggest show they've ever done in Scotland.
Aside from the odd hit single, which no metal bands have anymore, they are definitely as popular now as they were in the early 80's. Last album Thunderbolt had a higher chart placing than anything post Crusader.
Pity Thin Lizzy, er' Black Star Riders ,aren't playing Manchester though.
