To say this film was made in the mid seventies it looks ridiculously old fashioned and has dated far more than the stop motion classic from 1933.
It doesn't help that this version of Kong was at L.A.'s Universal Studios on the back lot tour in all it's subway train derailing glory, although seeing that scene in the film was actually the best thing about this version.
It also really doesn't help that Kong is just a fella in a monkey suit and the main SFX is merely a large animatronic hand that Jessica Lange has to push herself into each and every time it appears on screen.
In short this film is a bit rubbish. |
