It's supposed to be a truly terrifying 'behind-the-sofa' story, so I hope if/when it's released, I'm not expecting too much from it, and ultimately disappointed |
I remember when
Tomb of the Cybermen was first released on vhs. The hype was incredible for this near mythical story. I rushed out on the day of release and grabbed a copy from WH Smith from one of their special cardboard displays for the new release.
I was a bit disappointed when i saw the story. Although good it takes quite awhile to get going and the actual program itself wasn't as good as the images in my head from reading the excellent Target novel or seeing the brilliant promo pics of the Cybermen leaving their tombs.
From being one of the best ever stories it went to not even being the best Troughton story. Not even close.
